1. Nice smell - April 4, 2008

Why don’t government turn it into tourist attraction after all its in the area of the Taman-Taman Sabah. En-route to Bukit Gemuk and Tawau Hills Park, tourist guide could show tourist a very rare site of garbage dumpsite, almost extinct, only could be found in Tawau.

Maybe the 4 wheel-drive clubs could have their competition at the dumpsite and see how tough the challenge to get through the road.

But seriously, what happened to the recycle campaign to reduce waste. I think not only Tawau, but every where there is dumpsite problems and the government is not acting at all.

This is where they should spent billions so our garbage collection and dumpsite would be on par with develop nations. Instead of looking for new sites, perhaps the government should look for new technologies that could rehabilitate the dumpsite.

Make full use of recycle companies, I am sure there are a lot of recyclelable materials at the dumpsite.
